A Project in China for 1.5 Million-Unit Planetary Gearbox Plant Unveiled
On March 12, it was learned that a project to produce 1.5 million precision planetary gearboxes and precision transmission system modules annually is planned. The total investment is 670 million yuan, with a construction period of 12 months. The project will be constructed by Newstart Planetary Gear Boxes Co.,Ltd.（Newstart） It is located north of Dingzhuang Road, east of Zunxian Road, and west of Huangshan Road in Zibo High-tech Zone.
The project covers a total area of 64,666.67 square meters, including a newly built super intelligent manufacturing plant of 24,296.6 square meters, a supporting center of 2,389.94 square meters, and a research and development workshop of 4,806.35 square meters.
Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 1.5 million precision planetary gear reducers and precision transmission system modules.
Newstar Technology completed a multi-million RMB A+ round of financing in 2024, co-led by Hongtai Fund, with participation from SDIC Capital, Shandong New Energy Fund, Zibo High-tech Industrial Investment, State Power Investment Corporation, Dongzheng Capital, Lanpu Venture Capital, Novartis Capital, Shandong Expressway, and others.
