On the afternoon of March 17th, a delegation from Tsinghua University's State Key Laboratory, including Director Shen Yang, Deputy Director Wang Chang'an, Dr. Cui Wei, Executive Director and General Manager Ding Yuqing of Shanghai Electric Jiyou, Deputy General Manager Chen Hui of Shanghai Electric Jiyou, Secretary Wang Minghao of Rugao Municipal Party Committee, Standing Committee Member Wang Chunhua of Rugao Municipal Party Committee, and Executive General Manager Zhang Xinyue of Jianxin Equity, visited Jiangsu JGBR General Steel Ball Co., Ltd. (JGBR) for inspection and guidance.

During the exchange, Secretary Wang Minghao of Rugao Municipal Party Committee introduced Rugao's industrial foundation and scientific and technological innovation advantages as one of the top 100 counties in China and an important node city in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta.

He stated that Rugao has a solid industrial foundation in fields such as power equipment, auto parts, shipbuilding, and chemicals. It is a pilot innovative city recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, with nearly 900 high-tech enterprises and a strong atmosphere of scientific and technological innovation. The municipal government will continue to optimize the business environment, supporting traditional manufacturing enterprises like JGBR to revitalize themselves through technological innovation and contributing to the creation of a high-end manufacturing industrial hub.

Shen Yang, Director of the Tsinghua University State Key Laboratory, introduced the laboratory's research accumulation and talent advantages in the field of structural ceramics.

He stated that the laboratory has several academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, possessing rich experience in promoting the transformation of basic research into industry. In the future, the laboratory will rely on policy support to actively explore co-building research bases with local governments and leading enterprises like JGBR, connecting upstream and downstream industrial chains, accurately meeting market demands, and forming a collaborative innovation model of "government guidance, enterprise as the main body, and technology support."

Ding Yuqing, Executive Director and General Manager of Shanghai Electric Group, stated that Shanghai Electric is accelerating its layout in strategic emerging fields such as new energy and intelligent manufacturing, and looks forward to deeper cooperation with JGBR in key components for high-end equipment.

Zhang Xinyue, Executive General Manager of Jianxin Equity, pointed out that investment in the new materials field is currently heating up, especially driven by end-user demand from new energy vehicles and humanoid robots, creating a development window for high-performance materials such as ceramic balls. He suggested that all parties should promote cooperation in stages, focusing on technology transfer, supply chain coordination, and product implementation, exploring the establishment of basic research centers or joint laboratories to promote the deep integration of "technology + capital + industry."
