The intermittent roar of machinery, the orderly movement of overhead cranes, and the focused figures busy at their workstations — during the May Day holiday, more than 800 employees of ZWZ Group voluntarily gave up their time off, remaining at their posts to urgently produce high‑end equipment bearing orders.

On the morning of May 1, sunlight streamed into the production workshop of ZWZ Wind Power Main Shaft Bearing Company in Dalian. A reporter on site observed that on the two core production lines, L14 and L15, workers were already in place and equipment was running at full capacity, processing a batch of wind power main shaft bearings for three leading domestic wind turbine manufacturers. These are critical components for large‑megawatt wind turbine generators, and their performance directly affects the reliability and service life of the turbines. “The two main shaft products currently being processed are key components for this year’s main models of our strategic partners, and they are also ‘gold medal products’ of ZWZ. While maintaining high production output, ZWZ employees successfully overcame several long‑standing “bottleneck” processing challenges in high‑end bearings, achieving breakthroughs in key processes such as material heat treatment and ultra‑precision grinding. From May 3 to 5, a production relay race against the clock was also underway at ZWZ Precision Cage Company. On the heavy‑duty large cage production line, lighting blazed, while the copper‑casting line was heated and running. Facing the urgent challenge of an order for 308 sets of special bearing cages for lithium battery production lines with a delivery deadline of only 25 days, the company made preparatory arrangements in advance, stockpiled materials, and assigned dedicated personnel to conduct thorough pre‑holiday maintenance on all critical equipment, laying a solid foundation for high output during the holiday. Starting May 4, the slewing ring bearing factory focused all its efforts on a number of key orders from major industry clients, concentrating on yaw bearings and pitch bearings for large‑megawatt wind turbines. These products are large in size and require extremely high precision; they are core components that ensure accurate wind‑facing orientation and safe operation of the turbines. Their on‑time delivery is critical to the progress of customer projects.

At ZWZ Extra‑Large Bearing Branch, the production task board is densely filled with orders from 12 clients, including a major steel enterprise in Shanghai. The branch has organized elite teams and optimized production processes to ensure that the production chain for key products remains uninterrupted throughout the holiday. “Currently, the core products we are manufacturing — such as high‑speed railway bearings, wind power series bearings, and heavy‑haul railway bearings — are all at critical stages of production and delivery,” said a representative of the Bearing Components Branch. “These are not ordinary parts; they are the ‘joints’ and ‘backbones’ that ensure the safe and stable operation of major national equipment.
