The Chinese BaoSteel Boost the Localization Process of Railway Bearing in China

Recently,a good news came from Luoyang LYC Bearing Corp.that the railway hub bearing made of Gr15 and Gr18Mo electro-slag bearing steel from BaoSteel Group had succeeded in the completion of the" 400,000 km running smoothly without fault "test, whose speed reached 140km per hour. And it has formally replaced the imported bearing as usual and started the batch production. Thus the BaoSteel Group has become the only company that qualified the ability of producing bearing steel for quick speed railway carriage hub bearing in China. According to some reports, the domestic wheel bearings of railway carriage with speed up to 120km per hour were all imported. Since 2014, the BaoSteel Group has made full use of the advantage of long steel material and positively cooperated with LYC group and other manufacturers to promote the localization process of such bearing.After three-year's effort,it has been achieved .
