The Stabilus Lift-O-Mat range of gas springs is ideally suited to a range of industrial applications. Size and force variants in the Lift-O-Mat range cover piston rod diameters from 6 to 20mm and forces from 50 to 5200N. The spring curve of the dampers is linear and so provides uniform force progression over the entire spring travel. The units are also available with dynamic or hydraulic damping according to the application or the fitting position.
Variants include the Hydro-Lift, which can be positioned at any desired point, Lift-O-Mat High Friction, for stepless positioning, Electro-Lift, which has the capability of electrically switching in operation (such as illuminating a space when the door is opened), and the Inter-Stop, in which the stroke can be divided into a number of functional areas (such as for flap positioning).
Stabilus gas springs and dampers are suited to a broad range of applications, where the compact design of the Stabilus products offer advantages over other damping devices. Typical applications include those in the medical field, such as in hospital beds, theatre couches, massage couches and in rehabilitation equipment – all areas where SKF already provides electromechanical actuator units.
