SKF to buy Baker Instruments-Bearing News

SKF to buy Baker Instruments Swedish bearings manufacturer SKF AB (SKFB.ETR) Thursday announced that it was acquiring US-based Baker Instruments Company, a leading manufacturer of test and diagnostic instruments, for $14 million. Phil Knights, President of SKF Service Division, said the acquisition marked the Swedish company’s entry into the electric motor diagnostics segment. Baker Instruments has annual sales of $11 million and employs 62 people, SKF mentioned.
