EBC Intends to Settle the Contract with Brasilia European Bearing Corp. (EBC) intends to start the bearing exports to Brasilia, the company informed. The project was launched in 2007 and backed by the widescale marketing studies and talks with potential consumers including the Brasilia-based equipment producers. Now the pool of the partners has been determined on the delivery of the bearings made at Moscow Bearing. At the first stage the volume of exports is assumed to reach $500ths. The project was prompted by the Brasilia position on the market as one of the most perspective countries. There are none bearing makers in Brasilia though the bearing imports cover 70% of the total market. European Bearing Corp. was set up in 2000 to involve Moscow Bearing, Moscow Aviation Bearing, Stepnogorsky Bearing Plant (Kazakhstan), Saratovsky Bearing Plant, Volzhsky Bearing Plant, Aviation Bearing Plant (Samara) as well as EBC research center, EBC Trade House, MC EBC. The major holder is Orionbay Trading Corp. (79%); 19% being held by Parkwood United Corp. The 2007-turnover reached 10.6bn rub.; pretax profit - 1.8bn rub.; output - 24mln bearings. EBC covers 44% of the Russian market and 1% on the world market.
