Aviation Bearings Plant is Increasing Bearing Cage Protection

The Cages Production Workshop of ZAP JSC of EPK Group has put into operation modernized oxidation installation for processing bearing cages produced in accordance with special engineering specifications. Also, the component phosphate treatment installation is about to be commissioned. The modernized installation will provide oxidation and phosphate treatment for about 40% of cages produced under special engineering specifications. These components are designed for assembling bearings which operate in heavy conditions – corrosive chemical environments at high temperatures. The oxidation and phosphate treatment applies a thin film on the surface of cages to improve their mechanical properties and protect them from corrosion.
