First European SKF Certified Rebuilder - Kolubara Metal, Serbia

On April 3rd 2008, SKF and Kolubara Metal signed a two-year SKF Certified Rebuilder agreement for electric motors. Kolubara Metal thereby became the first SKF Certified Rebuilder in Europe.
An SKF Certified Rebuilder provides quality assured electric motor service. To earn this certification, the company must meet exacting standards and specifications. An SKF Certified Rebuilder also has to meet requirements of continuous improvement and competence development. For the end-customer, these requirements translate into longer, more reliable motor service life along with enhanced performance and profitability.
The SKF Certified Rebuilder program was first launched by SKF on the US market in 2006 in response to end-customer needs for improved electric motor reliability.
The Rebuilder Certificate was presented to Sava Kovacev, General Manager, Kolubara Metal by Vartan Vartanian, SKF Service Division President, in a ceremony at Kolubara Metals Head Office in Vreoci, Serbia.
Mr Kovacev says: "Obtaining this Certificate and becoming an SKF Certified Rebuilder represents a new opportunity for Kolubara Metal. This is especially important for an Electric Motor Workshop for continued future business development activities. Combining current knowledge, skills and technical capabilities together with this new SKF programme will enable us to improve our business with existing customers and gain new customers. This is also a continuation of our successful long-term cooperation with SKF, which has been confirmed by signing a Contract of Strategic business and technical cooperation, on April 2nd, 2007."
Kolubara Metal designs and manufactures mining equipment, and provides maintenance and repair services of equipment and machinery used in the mining industry. Kolubara Metals has its head office in Serbia and is present throughout the Western Balkans.
