Kaman Industrial Technologies branch in Port Angeles, Washington, was destroyed by fire last week. The fire occurred last Tuesday at 9:15 p.m. and no one was injured, according to a report in the local newspaper, the Peninsula Daily News. The satellite branch employed three people, according to a Kaman spokesman, who said the employees were relocated to Kaman’s Tacoma, Washington, branch about 30 miles away. Authorities said the fire began in Kaman’s offices and appeared to be an accident. A neighboring business was also destroyed. Both offices were leased facilities and the buildings’ owners said they expect repairs to take between four and six months, according to the Peninsula Daily News report. Kaman Industrial Technologies sells bearings, power transmission and related MRO supplies nationwide. The company ranked 15th on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION’s 2008 Big 50 report, with $700 million in sales.
