Timken Forges Marketing Agreement to Offer Industrial Seals in India

The Timken Company announced that Timken India Ltd. has signed a marketing agreement with India’s Spareage Seals Limited, which will allow Timken to offer Spareage’s complete range of oil seals to customers and distributors throughout India.
The oil seals will be used in applications across a range of industries including the metals, energy, cement, mining and geardrive market sectors.
"Introducing this range of oil seals is part of our strategy to bring a more complete line of friction management products to the industrial distribution channel," said Ajay Das, managing director, Timken India Ltd. "Customers have come to rely on Timken's expertise in managing friction in a wide array of applications, and we are continually providing new products and services to help them improve their performance."
Through the agreement Timken will source a line of oil seals from Spareage to serve the Indian market. About the agreement, Mr. J.S. Sabharwal, director, Spareage Seals Limited, said, “Being specialists in our respective fields, this collaboration will bring greater productivity and efficiency to our end customers.”
The product range starts with smallest size of seals to seals of four meters in diameter for a variety of critical and non-critical mobile applications. The product line complements Timken’s existing friction-management solutions and is expected to create value for both companies.
In addition to its oil seals offering, Timken currently sells large and small- bore seals, as well as metric and high-temperature varieties. Timken also provides tools to ease installation, deter seal and bearing damage and prevent premature seal leakage.
