SKF Tech-Day at Astra Honda Motor

For the first time PT SKF Indonesia organized event called the SKF Customer Technology Day (SKF Tech-Day). This event, which was held in Astra Honda motor Sunter Plant and Cikarang Plant, was aimed to share SKF vision : "to equip the world with SKF knowledge" with its five platforms namely : Bearings and unit, Seals, Lubrication, Mechatronics and Services". The two days event on Dec 1 and 2, 2009 was opened by Mr. Bono Rumbiono, Presiden Director of SKF Indonesia, attended by more than 100 participants and supported by colleagues from sister company : Mr. Luigi Cavallero of SKF Italy, Mr. Anil Jaiswal & Mr. Lokesh Saxena of SKF India, Eiji Tajima of SKF Japan, and Mr. Mayan Azmi of SKF Malaysia. The event also exhibited several Value Added Solution products. One of the products which attracted participants was SOBC ( Solid Oil Ball Cage) since it offers advantages such as simplifying ball assembly in steering and self lubrication. This will give faster assembly process and accurate ball required. The exhibition was also attended by Honda employees On the second day, the seminar and exhibition took place at the newest plant of Honda, in Cikarang Plant. Some Honda vendors such as Chemco Harapan Nusantara and Astra Otoprt- Div. Nusa Metal were also present The event is planned to be more regular in order to share SKF offers to customers.
