US DOC Rescinds AD Review for Ball Bearings from Two UK Companies

(November 13, 2010) On November 12, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced in the Federal Register the partial rescission of the antidumping (AD) duty administrative review for certain ball bearings and parts from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the UK. In its administrative review covering the period from May 1, 2009, through April 30, 2010, the DOC rescinded the review for the subject merchandise exported and/or sold by Barden Corporation (UK) Limited and Schaeffler (UK) Limited to the US and announced the revocation of the duty order for these companies. As SteelOrbis previously reported, on September 1 the DOC had rescinded the previous review for the companies in question covering the period May 1, 2008, through April 30, 2009. The effective date of this revocation is May 1, 2009. Therefore, the DOC also rescinded the review for the 2009-2010 period.
