Boca Bearings Sponsored Mikey Bustamante races in RC Expert Stock Truck & Expert Modified Buggy
Over the weekend Mikey Bustamante ran at the new indoor track in Vegas. VRCR has been opened for two weeks now and the racing has been great. Mikey ran Expert Stock truck and Expert Modified buggy and qualified second in both classes. In stock truck Mikey had a good start and was in second about 2 seconds behind the leader until the leader broke and our driver took the lead.
He was on a mission in Mod Buggy; with some rough qualifiers he had to lay it down in the main as the top qualifier had been running solid all night. The way the starting grid was lined up the 2nd qualifier was set up for the inside line into the first corner, so if Mikey wanted a quick chance at the lead he would have to punch it into the first corner. Sure enough when he heard the start tone he goosed it into the first corner and took the lead, from there Mikey had a ton of confidence and never looked back. Congratulations to the great start of the year.
