ZKL Group helps to needy
On Sunday 2 January 2011 an uncommon match OPEN AIR GAME 2011 took place in the open air in Pardubice among the players of extra league teams HC Kometa Brno and HC Eaton Pardubice. However before the match itself the prior part of the program was a beneficial match of hockey legends of these teams. ZKL Group became the sponsor of this match. Another part of the project with a charity subtext was an auction of hockey jerseys with ZKL logo, which the players wore on during the match. It was a replica of jerseys from the 1962-1976 seasons, when Kometa played under the name “ZKL Brno”. They were created specifically for this unique occasion and signed by players. These collectors' items earned in the auction the amount in the value of CZK 100,000 which was devoted to the SOS Children's Village in Brno.
The official handover of the cheque took place on Thursday 31 March 2011 on the occasion of the last home match of HC Kometa Brno, which Kometa won 5:4. The cheque was taken over by Mrs. Marcela Troubilová, the Director of SOS Children's Villages Brno, from Mr. Adam Šotek, Financial Manager of ZKL Group.

Therefore we always look for opportunities how to help those in need,“ says Mr. Adam Šotek, Financial Manager of ZKL Group. ” We were enthused about the connecting with Brno´s hockey due to an earlier successful cooperation. The whole event had also a significant philanthropic subtext and money raised from the auction will help where it is most needed,“ he adds.
The Director of SOS Children's Village in Brno, Mrs. Marcela Troubilová, thanked the representatives of ZKL Group for the financial gift that will be used for the reconstruction of a flat for the foster family, which cannot remain no longer in the SOS Village due to the large number of children given to keep.
