(July 26, 2011) JTEKT CORPORATION (hereinafter “JTEKT”), headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, hereby announces that the Japan Fair Trade Commission conducted an on-site inspection of JTEKT and its subsidiary company, KOYO SALES CO., LTD., headquartered in Osaka, Japan, on July 26, 2011, to investigate a possible violation of Japan’s Anti-Monopoly Act with respect to sales transactions involving bearings. We at JTEKT have committed ourselves to compliance with all applicable legal requirements and have put the utmost importance on carrying out our corporate social responsibilities; however, we understand the importance of the current investigation and will fully cooperate with the Fair Trade Commission in order to complete a proper and swift investigation.
