Igus Introduces Lubricant-free Plastic Plain Bearing for Heavy-duty Pivoting Applications
The lubricant- and maintenance-free Iglidur Q2 bearing is made of a tribological material mix that is injection-moulded into low-cost polymer plain bearings.
According to the company, tests have shown that, depending on the shaft material used, Iglidur Q2 performs between two and five times better than its standard catalogue polymer materials when used in pivoting applications at a radial load of 76MPa.
