MAUMEE, Ohio, Oct. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN) has entered into a long-term agreement with Blue Bird Corporation to supply Spicer® drive axles for Blue Bird buses. Blue Bird is a respected leader in the school bus market and manufactures school and activity buses in a variety of options and configurations. The buses are now equipped with Spicer 21,000 and 23,000 lb. GAWR single reduction axles, which feature proven performance and innovative high power density in lightweight designs. Dana has long supplied Spicer driveshafts for Blue Bird buses. "As a key supplier of best-in-class driveline technologies to specialty markets, Dana's combination of operating footprint, economies of scale, and engineering support makes it the ideal choice to supply axles for Blue Bird," said Mark Wallace, Dana's president of On-Highway Driveline Technologies.
