NTN is running a display booth a The 15th SIMTOS 2012 “Seoul International Machine Tool Show”, with the theme “NTN, Evolution of new technology”.
A wide product lineup will be on display for visitors to the booth, including the high performance ULTAGE series of bearings, developed in line with increasing requirements of machine tools, together with a number of ancillary products such as bearing pressing/extractor kits.

* Space-saving and High Performance Angular Contact Ball Bearings for Air Oil Lubrication(see here for more details)
The “Space-saving and High Performance Angular Contact Ball Bearings for Air Oil Lubrication” eliminates the need for a lubrication hole in the spacer, which allows for a reduction in the width of the spacer and an overall more compact main shaft.
[ Features ]
1. Compact: reduction in width of bearing spacer
→ 20% reduction in length of front spindle (for shaft diameter φ100, 4-row bearing layout)
2. Less noise: up to 6 dBA reduction (compared to standard air-oil spacer)
3. 2/3 reduction in air-oil quantity, 1/2 reduction in lubrication oil quantity (compared to standard air-oil spacer)
* New Series 9 high-speed Angular contact Ball Bearings(see here for more details)

1. A larger diameter rolling element gives the bearing a longer operating life and improves permissible load and rigidity
· 50% increase in load rating (3-times the rated operating life compared to conventional bearings)
· 20% improvement in axial load rating
· 1.5-times radial rigidity and axial rigidity (compared to conventional bearings)
2. Improvements to bearing life, unclamp load characteristics, and retention of rigidity during low-speed machining make the bearing suitable to a wide range of machining conditions.
