Schaeffler celebrates US Formula E debut in the heart of Miami

The days of the long breaks between races are over. Round five in Miami (USA) next Saturday marks the beginning of the ‘hot stage’ of the FIA Formula E Championship season. Seven races are yet to be held by the end of June and then the first champion of the series for fully electric single-seater race cars will have been determined. Following three podium results in succession and a race without points most recently in Argentina, Lucas di Grassi from Team ABT is set on defending his overall lead. His team-mate Daniel Abt, who competes in the Schaeffler colors as well, has set himself ambitious goals for the first of two rounds in North America. The circuit that with a length of 2.169 kilometers is the shortest one on the calendar so far circles around the arena of the Miami Heat and the pit lane is located directly on Biscayne Bay. As always, practice, qualifying and the race will be held on Saturday within the space of just a few hours. After four races in Asia and in South America, Formula E is now traveling to the United States for the first time. For Schaeffler, the North and Middle American market has major significance – as underscored by the 16 locations in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
