Schaeffler: Formula E celebrates racing premiere in Europe

The wait is over for motorsports fans. Following rounds in Asia as well as North and South America, Formula E is visiting Europe for the first time next weekend. Lucas di Grassi, who like his team-mate Daniel Abt, is racing in Schaeffler colors, will be contesting the event in Monaco, his place of residence, as the leader of the standings. The race in the streets of the principality will be ringing in the hot stage of the first season, followed by rounds in Berlin, Moscow and the finale in London. With a mere length of 1.760 kilometers the circuit on the Côte d’Azur is the shortest one on the calendar so far. It takes the racers across the start-finish straight of the Formula One circuit before turning right directly towards the marina. A hairpin turn is followed by the better-known sections including the Tabac and the Swimming Pool corners. The race will cover 47 laps.
