Schaeffler's Automotive Aftermarket and German shock absorber and spring manufacturer BILSTEIN are expanding their successful collaboration on the REPXPERT garage portal. Garages in Spain, Portugal, Greece and Romania will now benefit from a holistic view on the chassis system.
Schaeffler and BILSTEIN offer joint technical trainings in the chassis area for several years and extended their partnership with the REPXPERT garage portal in June 2021. After completing the pilot phase, which initially covered Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom, the cooperation went into regular operation in early 2022. Since then, the range of content grows continuously including product information, video installation tips, practical tips and vehicle-specific installation instructions. Examples include garage tips on calibrating assistance systems (FAS) after suspension work, explaining how to adjust the groove on the shock absorber, or how to eliminate annoying noises from the suspension environment.
Complex repair solutions require combined expertise
The mutual goal of both partners is to combine Schaeffler's suspension expertise with BILSTEIN's know-how in shock absorbers, springs and suspensions. "Garages today are dealing with increasingly complex repair and maintenance work. There is a high need for well-prepared information and practical tips. We offer our customers a solution together with BILSTEIN and are very delighted to provide this content to garages in four more countries," says Sven Olev Müller, Head of Schaeffler REPXPERT. "Our content about shock absorbers, springs and so on has been very well received so far. This success story has led BILSTEIN to provide its knowledge on all aspects of the chassis in other countries on REPXPERT as well," says Rainer Popiol, Head of the BILSTEIN Academy.
