"Boom—clang!" Recently, in the production workshop of HONB Bearing's Phase II intelligent bearing project, automated grinding lines churned at high speed, gantry robots deftly grasped bearing components, and technicians were intently debugging a brand-new assembly line.

"This batch of goods will be shipped soon, and the production line is running at full capacity! With the Phase II project gradually put into production, production capacity is increasing, and delivery is more guaranteed!" General Manager Wu Qiaoling exclaimed excitedly, pointing to the products about to be shipped to a renowned domestic automation company.

This new factory, covering an area equivalent to seven standard football fields and a total construction area of 43,000 square meters, took only six months from the first pile being laid in November last year to its current start of production. The project's greatest feature is its intelligence: automated production lines play a leading role in the brand-new intelligent factory, significantly improving bearing precision and production output.

"The new project targets two key areas: first, providing high-precision bearings to strengthen high-end CNC machine tools; second, building a dedicated production line for humanoid robot bearings, aiming for over 90% of the domestic market share," Wu Qiaoling admitted. Crucially, the intelligent bearing project will pave its own path. New upstream production lines, spanning forgings, turning, and core rollers, will truly ensure a firm grasp on key links in the supply chain.

The accelerated pace of project construction stems from HONB Bearing's impressive performance in recent years. This company, rooted in Luoyang for 20 years, has consistently tackled the challenging task of domesticating high-precision bearings and has become a hidden leader in the industry. This year, orders for humanoid robot bearings have skyrocketed. From dancing robots in the Spring Festival Gala to the "hands" of precision medical equipment, HONB Bearing's presence can be seen everywhere, and its products are even exported to industrial powerhouses like Germany.

The secret to its products' popularity lies in continuous investment in innovation. "Our annual R&D investment accounts for 6% of our total revenue," Wu Qiaoling explained. With this industrious spirit, the company has successively overcome core technical challenges, such as high-precision control and thin-wall structure optimization for humanoid robot bearings.

Recently, the company also achieved significant success with the development of a "hydrostatic thrust bearing," solving a bottleneck in large-scale CNC equipment, filling a domestic gap, and achieving internationally leading performance.

"Orders are pouring in, and I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster!" Wu Qiaoling said with a smile, describing her current busy schedule. "Being chased by orders has forced us to develop a new model." She pointed to the workshop, where the assembly line for mature products is running at full capacity on one side, while right next to it is the R&D laboratory, already tinkering with the next generation of products. This is called "in-process research and development, integrating R&D and production."

Wu Qiaoling said that with the full launch of the second phase of the intelligent bearing project, the automated and intelligent production methods coupled with the independent and controllable supply chain will inject efficient "industrial blood" into Luoyang's high-end equipment manufacturing, and promote Luoyang's intelligent manufacturing from "big" to "high-end and sophisticated".
