Motion Industries Acquires Massachusetts Bearings Maker Motion Industries acquired Shuster Corp. for an undisclosed amount, the New Bedford Standard-Times reported. Spokeswoman Linda Price told the newspaper that Motion Industries plans to change Shuster, a New Bedford, Mass.-based bearings manufacturer. "They will be operating under their own name, in their plant," Price said. "We have made no plans to make any changes. … We were expanding our presence in that market and they fit the bill.” Motion Industries ranked sixth on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION’s 2007 Big 50 list of distributors, with 2006 sales of $3.1 billion.
