Handpiece Lubrication Oil Receives FDA Approval Handpiece Experts has announced that its proprietary lubricant oil has been certified for use with handpiece makes and models by the United States Food and Drug Administration. Handpiece Experts Oil works with brands and types of handpieces, including air and electric highspeed and lowspeed handpieces as well as handpiece maintenance stations. Dental handpieces are high-performance precision cutting instruments that rotate a bur at over 400,000 rpm. Such a high-friction environment causes premature wear on handpiece components and is a major cause of instrument failure. Handpiece Experts Oil reduces friction and contributes to prolong handpiece life. Jean Castonguay, president and CEO of Handpiece Experts Inc. and ProDrive Systems Inc. said, "Our company is focused on improving the overall efficiency of dentists through the improved performance of the dental handpiece. Our FDA Certified Oil is another quality product offering that will soon prove indispensable to any dental practice.
