On October 22, there was an exciting good news from national space engineering designing & manufacturing department: the first set of large high-precision slewing ring bearing manufactured by Anshan Iron & Steel Bearing Co., Ltd works well in the production process of the national large aerospace equipment, meanwhile the second set was asked to produce as soon as possible. At the same time, Anshan Iron & Steel Bearing Co., Ltd was designated as the national aerospace engineering supporting company.
This set of large high-precision slewing ring bearing was composed by inner & outer rings, and more than 2000 rolling members, with 6.2 meters of the turning diameter. It is the first set in the overall bearing production in China, and the rotation accuracy is 0.05 mm, which is the most accurate slewing ring bearing in China, and it also creats the new accuracy standard in China's aerospace engineering slewing ring bearings. The successful development of this set bearing not only fill the domestic gap, but it is also the sign that China's bearing technology has reached the world leading level, meanwhile make China has the ability to produce super large spacecraft processing equipment. At present, only Russia and the United States could produce this kind of large spacecraft processing equipment, the successful development of this set of bearing provided gurantee for China to produce large spacecraft processing equipment.
